I couldn’t agree more with you regarding nature for solitude. I would not survive in a busy city. I find much of my peace on my back deck watching my birds at the feeders and listening to my wind chimes. I went to Las Vegas with a friend and while most think of casinos and live shows, I gravitated to Red Rock Canyon and found it to be very calming and a perfect spot to recharge. I enjoy your blog and all of the great info. Thank you for sharing with us!

I’m wheelchair bound now so don’t get to Natural places as much as I did but I find solace in herbs on my windowsill or even bedside table. Basil, Mints, Thymes for instance have such refreshing/uplifting perfume as do geraniums.
Asking the question is good, but don’t forget to listen for the answer 🙂 Be prepared too for it not to be a) what you want/expect b) to not come immediately. We’ve become so used to instant gratification that we can forget that there is an older/slower time frame too. Namaste

We want to do it even more, but our season of life hinders us a bit. We do get out there occasionally, we have some gear, and we always make a day or (days) of it. The house we chose to buy has really great yard space, as that was important to us so we can have some outdoors and nature. I love that our 3yo knows little about being outside, finding things, digging in the dirt, and hikes with us! 🙂
